A medicine jar stopper Guri Guri. A wonderfully carved figure of a man with metal eyes riding an animal.
The base mounted with an old label. (Inscribed in Danish) “et medicin horn Batak stammen Sumatra” (in English) “From a medicine container Batak tribe Sumatra”. The label itself indicates the presence of this figure in Europe for at least 100 years.
Condition: Beautiful patina, has a chip on the left ear
